IF RUBBISH COULD SPEAK

about the film

Archaeologists like to analyse the refuse of ancient societies to learn about the past. What would the rubbish discarded by the inhabitants of modern Barcelona tell them? This documentary accompanies dustmen, anthropologists and artists on an unusual nighttime journey through the city. As they collect and inspect one black bag after the other, we soon find out, as one of the protagonists puts it, that ‘our rubbish betrays our most innermost secrets.’
